We have the 56k connection,
do you have the hardware?
We started in 1994 providing dial-up connections to the Internet, and we still offer a 56k dial-up service.
Like any connection to the Internet, a 56k dial-up connection requires you to have the right hardware at your end. In the early days almost every computer had an internal dial-up modem. Older computers could be retro fitted with an external dial-up modem. New computers offered by the big guys like Compaq, Dell, HP and IBM no longer have internal 56k modems.
So what's the easiest way to tell if you have a dial-up modem in your computer? The easiest way by far is to turn off you computer and then unplug your telephone. The connection on the telephone that goes into the wall jack will fit into a dial-up modem. This is because dial-up modems connect to the internet over your telephone line and they use a similar cord to do so.
There are other ways to determine if you have a dial-up modem through the software on your computer and our technical support department would be more than willing to assist you in determining if you can connect to the Internet using a 56k dial-up connection. Just give us a call during regular business hours and we can help.
